Founded in 1987, Whitestone Cheese Co. is home to a rich history of local cheese making. The original factory was set up in Oamaru during the rural downturn of the era and a series of crippling droughts. Whitestone Farmhouse was launched originally in a converted garage and using milk sourced from local farms, and growing now to employ over 50 people with a factory, deli and shop.

During this guided tour of the viewing galleries, you will learn the history of Whitestone Cheese Co., and the cheese making process.

Then, enjoy a cheese tasting with paired wines to sample to delicate flavours of the cheeses with three half glasses of boutique wine matched to your samples.
