About this item

A riveting history of a number of African countries which moved from colonialism to totalitarianism, and in the process murdered, impoverished and dispossessed their people, whilst a select few profiteered in staggering ways. There's a roll call of famous names - Mugabe, Mobutu, Gaddafi et al, plus President Afwerki of Eritrea who's a real piece of work. Sobering, and fascinating.
