Hells Gate Reserve Walk with Mud Bath and Sulphur Spa

Take a dip in the sulphurous spas overlooking the Hells Gate geothermal reserve
Enjoy a guided walk through the reserve and marvel at the geothermal attractions
Marvel as you walk past steaming fumeroles and pools of mud at boiling temperatures of over 100 degrees. Then head to the spa and relax in a nourishing geothermal mud bath and sulphur pool, cooling off under the natural spring waterfall. Used by local Maori for bathing and relaxation for 800 years.

Session Length:

• Allow approxiamtely 3 hours for the duration of this experience
• Allow 1 hour for self guided walk or 1.5 hours for guided tour
• Open daily except Christmas Day
• Geothermal Park open from 8:30 - 5:30 (7:30 in summer)
• Mud Bath Spa from 8:30am - 10:00pm - last entrance 8:30pm (summer)
